FILM TEAMS For convenience, we like to call the teams which present the gospel using films as “Our” film teams. However, the teams do not work for us, we are all part of God’s team and he is the captain of the team. The film teams could best be described as evangelistic teams for which God has chosen and called a leader for that team. CSCFM’s role is to join God’s work by providing better tools to make his chosen instruments more effective in their goal of reaching as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time for Jesus. At CSCFM, our role in film team development can be broken down into 3 areas: Validation Equipping Accountability

Validation A team begins by the leading of the Holy Spirit. God chooses the person and they begin in their ministry. Usually, after serving faithful in other evangelistic ministries, a person hears about film ministry, sees that it would be a great tool to improve their work and seeks out assistance. After contact and discussion with the potential new team leader, each team leader must complete a very rigorous written application with references and pictures. Once the application is completed, prayer and confirmation to proceed are required. The final step is a face to face meeting and interview before an invitation to join the team is given. CSCFM teams are organized by countries and each country has a country director. The country director works with leadership from the USA in reviewing applications and confirmation of each team. The role of the Holy Spirit is absolutely vital in selection and confirmation. For those familiar with the “Experiencing God” study by Henry Blackaby, CSCFM uses these helpful understandings in the decision making process. Equipping CSCFM endeavors to equip the saints in 3 ways. First, CSCFM purchases the following equipment for each team. The cost averages $2500 USD. The equipment purchased allows the teams to be 100% portable. • Small portable generator or UPS (A UPS is an uninterruptible power supply. Some areas have reasonable electrical supplies but need the UPS to prevent damage to projector equipment due to power fluctuations and loss.) • DVD projector • Sound equipment • Films (DVD format) • Film screen (large white sheet with brackets) • Extension cords, spare bulbs, packing luggage • Bicycle • Digital camera (recent addition to list) Second, CSCFM supports each team with a monthly gift averaging $110 USD. This support is roughly the salary of a typical church pastor in the areas being served. CSCFM’s support is not all that is required to meet the needs of a full team but serves as a good starting point. The CSCFM missionaries truly love God and must trust him to meet all their needs. Finally, CSCFM equips film teams through training. The country directors travel extensively to meet with team leaders and provide hands on support. Also, conferences are held as appropriate to get team leaders together to share the good news of God’s work and share ideas. Accountability Film teams agree when accepting support from CSCFM to complete film showings a minimum of 8 times per month. Each team records information about their presentations and summarizes the information monthly. The information is compiled and reported (see Statistics section) not to boast in ourselves but to give God the glory for his harvest. Partnership CSCFM is a registered non-profit corporation in the USA. CSCFM does not incorporate or register in foreign countries. CSCFM is a partnership with native missionaries to provide tools and support but is not a legally residing entity in each country.
